Fear

Is anyone else afraid that this country is in big trouble? We have reached a moral low that is just sickening. The Lord will only put up with so much, then he comes down on the people if they get too degenerate. How close are we to feeling the wrath of the Lord? It seems to me we are very, very close.

Charles Barkley what?!?!

I heard Charles Barkley is going to be entering the political arena. I'll never understand why celebrities think that just because they are good at something that makes them famous, they can do everything - singers acting, actors singing, basketball players as politicians, etc., etc. Barkley was a great basketball player but not someone we want in our government.

Uno, the dog.

So I'm listening to the morning radio news on KMJ out of Fresno, CA when the sports report starts. We got all the pro and college basketball scores, something about Roger Clemens appearing before Congress and other sundry sports issues. The last story crossed the line. It was a report about a dog named Uno, apparently a beagle, that won some dog showing. What is going on here?!?! A dog show report making the sports report? You've got to be kidding me. It's now officially out of hand. First we have the 'World Series of Stupid Poker' on ESPN and now this. What's next, we start considering Nascar and horse racing real sports? I don't think so.

I never used steroids.

That's why I look like I do. It's apparent that Clemens, Pettitte and Bonds did. But does it really matter? Tell you what, let's just call the past few years 'The Steroid Era' and move on. Baseball has been through many era's and this is just one of them. I still love the game and it is still the purest sport in America. It's America's game. So let's quit this waste of time by our political leaders and have them focus on other issues (immigration, poverty, the economy, the war in Iraq to name a few). Baseball has established safeguards going forward, so let's just 'Play Ball'!

Chelsea Insulted?

Hillary is all out of sorts because one reporter says they 'pimped out' their daughter by having her campaign for her. Hillary even said, "I'm a mom first, then a candidate." Yah right. First of all, I think it's fine that Chelsea helped her mom. All of the candidates have used their children and I would expect any family member to stand behind the others. It is Hillary's outrage that is so phony. She can sure play this 'victim card' well. Did anyone ask Chelsea is she was offended? I suspect she laughed it off and couldn't care less. Hillary wants TV time and this is just another way to get it. Much worse things have and will be said about her daughter. That's what happens when you're in the national spotlight. So Hillary, get over it.

Berkeley Madness

Really, what do these knuckleheads think they are doing? Telling the Marines they are not welcome in their town?!?! You've got to be kidding me. Last I remember, the military are the ones who defend our country, who make our country safe and who spend their days protecting our freedom. You may oppose the war but to be so ignorant that you completely dismiss the military is disgusting. Please leave the country if you feel that way. There are some nice condos in France you can move in to.
